LaTEAda was born from a lifelong love of tea and a dream to bring its many benefits to our local community. After a fulfilling career as a high school English teacher and administrator, our founder Leah decided it was time for a new chapter—one steeped in self-care, community, and beautiful cups of tea. Inspired by her favorite Kerrville tea spot, BrewTEAful Tea House, she teamed up with her son-in-law, Jason, to bring a charming, cozy tea haven to San Antonio.
Today, LaTEAda is more than just a tea shop. It’s a place to relax, connect, and nourish both body and spirit—whether you’re catching up with a friend, celebrating a special moment, or just enjoying a little “you” time.

- Q: Does LaTEAda offer authentic High Tea?
- A: Absolutely! Our High Tea can be booked on our website at lateada.net. It includes scones, clotted cream, pastries, croissant sandwiches, macarons, fruit and cucumber sandwiches with our beautiful table settings of fine china, flowers, cloth napkins and all the details that make High Tea a historically special experience! Come see what all the fuss is about!

Q: Does LaTEAda host tea parties?
A: Yes — we host private tea parties for groups of all kinds, baby showers, bridal showers, fundraisers, classes, mahjong, book clubs et. We can provide full catering or just a fun, unique and super relaxing spot to meet and enjoy treats and relax with colleagues and friends. Book online or call us at (210) 272-0750. -
Q: Where is LaTEAda located?
A: We’re at 434 N Loop 1604 W, Suite 1101, San Antonio, TX 78232 — in Ventura Plaza. We can take the parties to your location, mail fabulous teas anywhere in the US OR send a fabulous Tea Party Kit so you can host an amazing tea party no matter where you are! -
Q: What are your hours?
A: We’re open Tuesday–Friday 7am–7pm, Saturday 9am–5pm, Sunday 12pm–5pm (closed Monday). -
Q: Do you sell loose leaf tea online?
A: Yes — order loose leaf tea for pickup or shipping on our website. We can also ship our fabulous tea brewing accessories to ensure you get the most out of your fabulous loose leaf order! -
Q: Do you cater events or offer group orders?
A: Yes — we offer catering, tea flights, and group orders. Email info@lateada.net or call to discuss details. Our group rates range anywhere from $15-$40 per person which always includes unlimited teas of choice and either a buffet set up or individual place settings and service. We also have our catering shop on EZCater for ease and convenience with delivery and pick up options. You won’t find a fresher more dietary friendly menu in San Antonio. -
Q: Do you have organic teas?
A: Yes — all our loose-leaf teas are organic and sourced from premium tea houses. We curate all of our teas to ensure everything in our shelves is tasty and delicious. We have found the best lavender, coconut, chamomile, sleep, watermelon, chocolate cherry and every other tea you can imagine so you don’t have to look or waste you time and money. -
Q: Can I buy tea containers and gifts?
A: Yes — we offer tins, jars, and gift bundles in-store and online. There truly is no better gift than loose leaf tea. It will be enjoyed for months and bring a unique, new treat to any recipient.
