Our Tea Room Story
laTEAda is a San Antonio original with an unparalleled selection of organic, all natural loose-leaf teas from a variety of excellent tea houses. We curate and select an ever-evolving selection of delicious and healthy teas. After retiring from a career as a high school English teacher and administrator, our founder, Leah, sought to follow her dreams and open a high-quality tea shop that could bring the amazing benefits and infinite enjoyment of tea to the San Antonio community. Living and working in nearby Kerrville, Texas, Leah fell in love with a tea shop there and decided to try her hand at bringing the concept to San Antonio. With the help of her son-in-law, Jason, she put together a delightful mecca for tea and relaxation lovers in our community.
One of our favorite offerings are tea tastings for your group. We hold weekly tea tastings on Sunday afternoons and will let you know about the times and details in our weekly email to our CommuniTEA; or we can schedule a private tea tasting any time. The tea tastings offer a great opportunity to try a variety of types of tea and to learn more about how the teas can help with various health conditions. We have a wide variety of un-caffeinated teas that you can enjoy in the evenings and that course through your body as you sleep offering relief from inflammation, skin conditions and stomach problems. We tap into the ancient roots of tea and hope to bring back the benefits today.
Our shop not only provides tea and tea inspired craft drinks, but it offers a gathering space for any occasion. We love to host baby showers, bridal showers, networking groups, book clubs, knitting clubs, birthday parties (we partner with the escape room upstairs for a full party experience) and any worthy fundraising events for our community. We can turn any occasion into a tea party with all of your personal touches. We work constantly to come up with amazing flavor combinations with their roots in our fabulous organic teas and to enhance whatever season, holiday or special time of year. Our menu changes constantly to provide a new and exciting experience with every visit.
We have delicious, low sugar chai drinks, matcha, protein, fresh steeped teas either iced or hot. We offer every kind of boba in 14 flavors and fresh made tapioca boba. Our mission is to provide our customers with alternatives to high sugar, artificially flavored drinks that are available in most beverage shops. As we introduce the incomparable flavor of fresh brewed teas, and then use these amazing teas to create one of a kind drinks that are always refreshing, delicious and most importantly, healthy.

High Tea and Special Events
laTEAda offers a variety of tea party experiences. We can serve traditional high tea fair or a tea tasting pizza party. We hold mother daughter and daddy daughter teas for any ages and can substitute hot chocolate for the little ones. Our pastries come from Old World Bakery in New Braunfels where Uwe offers his European trained pastry skills for your enjoyment. Croissants and pastries of every kind along with delicious chicken salad sandwiches, ham and turkey and cheese sandwiches. Our selection of delightful, antique tea cups in various patterns make the experience special for everyone. We love hosting themed Tea Parties like Teddy Bear Tea and Nutcracker Tea during the Christmas season complete with story time.
